Today I'm showing you how I install a projector on a ceiling using an ultra-cheap projector bracket / ceiling mount. This is a plasterboard ceiling so I'm using plasterboard plugs / hollow wall anchors with a setting tool. To give you an idea of the total installation time I'm showing you this more or less un-edited so sorry for the long vid! This doesn't include running cables through walls as there's so many ways to do this it's a separate vid really. Thanks for watching, pop any questions in the comments and don't forget to Subscribe! I'm installing a motorised projector screen in this video - this is a 90 inch screen. At around 10kg I didn't trust hanging it from the ceiling and it needed to sit in front of the TV screen. Wall mounting with some simple off-set brackets gives a VERY strong fixing. In reality the ceiling would *probably* have been absolutely fine but I'll sleep better with it installed like this. I deliberately haven't shown anything about installing the cabling / power to the screen as there's so many ways of doing this depending on your wall construction etc. This was dot & dab and easy to run the cable behind the plasterboard. Enjoy and don't forget to Subscribe! Here's a link to the projector screen used here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ZPB988O

On my blog (http://goo.gl/cCuhq1) you can find more details and links to all materials and tools used. In this video I show how I made my 132" projector screen for less than $80 in just a few hours. Once you have all the materials (blackout cloth, pine boards, etc.), it's quite simple and easy to get it done. I have an Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 3010 projector which is set up on a 21' x 13' basement. The wall used to be our screen but I decided to get a real one. As I wanted something cheaper and fun to do, I chose to build it on my own. As the video shows, the results couldn't be more amazing!
This video explains what the keystone effect is and how to fix it with your projector, also on how to adjust your screen and projector to look correctly in different aspect ratios, lastly a quick guide of the BenQ W1070's setting menu. Keystone: The keystone effect, also known as the tombstone effect, is caused by attempting to project an image onto a surface at an angle, as with a projector not quite centered onto the screen it is projecting on. As of 9/25/14, the Chromecast has a stretched out purple/yellow image when using the extractor and projector. I do not know the cause of this. I might make a video about it so Google can fix it. Sorry if the video is not very clear from the jumble of cables in back of my TV. Basically the order of devices is the Chromecast is plugged into the extractor, the extractor splits the image from the sound, HDMI cable goes to projector/TV, optical/audio cable goes to your speaker system input. I could make a more in depth video but the amount of cables I have back there is overwhelming. Hope this helps
